i cannot delete/make new character??
i think thats really stupid.
I got to about lvl 15 or sumthn, then realised the importance of ascension. but it was already too late to make the most of it.
So i thought i would just delete that guy and take this newly gained knowledge and do it right the second time around.

WRONG.

cannot make a new character, the one i made is the one im stuck with..... forever.
I can 'ascend' but i already missed out on the first 2 ascensions available to me, so if i do it now, im just dragging out the same crippled character.

I feel like i married the wrong woman and now find that 'divorce' does not exist.
Im stuck with this horrible thing for the rest of my days.

This here sums it up for me

Please note that Transcension, which you can only do at lvl 60, completely resets your char's xp level, story progress, and removes all gear (even Legacy's) and spells. All you keep are the Emblems your god gives you at each Ascension, your stable of Champions, and your current supply of souls. You can then have your Ascensions in your new game every five levels.

Not exactly ideal, I know, but I offer it as an option.

ty for that info Zorlond, i appreciate that.
Though its like a 'build' in any rpg game, only in this game, if you screw it up, you will never reach your true potential.
In my case, i have only missed 2 ascensions.
I can keep hitting lvl 60 untill im old and grey and i will still be 2 ascensions short of my true potential.

If your first ascension is not between 5 and 9 and does not have maxed skills and highest level equipment posible you have fallen short of true potential. No reset stops players from doing this.

You will always theoretically reach true potential in the single player. All emblems can be had even if you miss some ascensions.

Ty for the response jmh
yep, that is the case, i have already passed lvl 9 without ascending, so i have missed out.
so from what i understand, even if i ascend now, having missed it, what then?
im assuming i will be able to continue with the game no problem, but will always be at a slight disadvantage for having missed those early ascensions.

I also made a mistake with waiting too long on the ascensions but you won't miss much since you can Transcend on lvl 60 and start again with your already unlocked emblems don't worry about that too much.

Lv60 is a long time to play to fix a mistake made at lv10. I also missed a bunch of ascensions and transending doesn't fix it. You will still have weaker ascended champions all the way. I just want a reset option. It can't be that hard to put in. I actually haven't touched the game since i messed up because I just hate playing in subpar situations.

You really didn't miss anything.
It would still take the same number of transcends to get all emblems just like anyone else.

You can get a max of 12 emblems until trasncension (which would be the 12th) and there are 45 total emblems, as either way you would need to transcend 3 times to be able to get all of them.

-First 12 on first playthrough
-Another 12 after transcending (so second playthrough)
-Up to 36 at this point on the third playthrough
-The 45th ascend would be at level 45, but because you missed two in the beginning then it would be at level 55, so you would be in your third transcend just like everyone else.

yea, don't worry about it Top8, honestly. I was in the samne frame of mind as you are.
I did research into ascensions, transcensions and mainly, emblems.
after playing the game for a number of hours now, i notice that your early ascended champions really dont mean much. they will only start to really kick ass after your 2nd transcension AT LEAST. so if you want to make a badass caos, like i do, missing a few ascensions at the beginning is nothing.

lol, i started this thread, after helpful commenst from people here, and research on my own part, my mind is at ease.

missing a few early ascensions really is no big deal at all

Well... You did the same for me XD Going to get back into this now... :)

I've read so much about people wanting reset options, but I cannot stop to wonder how it even should look like. I'm not against an reset option, I'm just concerned about the implementation of it.

I mean, as I see it you can do it two ways:

- you keep all the ascended champions and stats of that player and reset emblem and story progress
- you also delete all the ascended champions of that player and reset all leaderboard stats

The first option would be horrible since you could easily make an armada of low level champions which would turn the whole low-level invasion zone into an outright mess. Not to mention totally screwing with leaderboard statistics.

The second option would mean quite a bit of database magic that (as I see it) isn't currently possible. If it was, we wouldn't still have champions with glitched gear running around since a simple search by K/D ratio or something like that would've revealed all of the worst offenders and they could've been dealt with. Instead, they still surface now and then. That means it might take a bit of extra effort (which translates to time, which in turn translates to money and also to possible delays for other updates like content) to get it working.

So if it was implemented I hope they choose the second option as the first one would cause more problems down the line.
