Ascending!... When?

Say, when should you Ascend? Level 6-9 yes... But should you ascend before you reach level nine or before? Or can wait until Level 10? (For best results of course) Thanks!

You can Ascend anytime you like, assuming you're elligible. The game takes your level at the moment of Ascension, multiplies it by 80%, and that's the level of the Champion made. Then your next Ascension comes at your Ascension lvl + 5, and then your character level is dropped 5 levels.

If you want maximum Sigils, though, should do it every 5 levels. You get to keep those, even after Transcendence (only other thing that lets you keep is current soul count).

@Zorlond : From where your BS come from ? :/ There was a bug where your champion was to a level 20 to 50% less than yours during the ascent. Now it's fixed and your champion = your level during ascent.
And your character loses 20% of his level, not "5 levels". If you ascend at lvl 37, you'll be lvl 30.

To answer the question : ASAP. Your champion whatever you'll do is pretty much a easy destroyable thing. Gather the best stuff you can, but don't wait one more level, ascend when you can. So lvl 5, 10, 15, etc.

What're you talking about, Harest? Last time I Ascended was a couple days ago. It was at lvl 26, the champion ended up lvl 20, and my warrior ended up 21, due to Ascend again at 31. Do the math, it all fits.

You're doing it wrong. But i've said everything so trust me or not it doesn't matter. The thing is it was like i said (bug fixed, 20%, etc). And maths don't work like you think they are. It's not because on one ocurrence it fits what you believe that it's always the case.

Best result for you the single player is level 5. (less time spent.)
Best result for your NPC champion probably at level 9 with everything maxed. (Debatable if this gives it advantage over a level 5 all down to spawn system.)
Waiting to 10 puts you at very minor disadvantage. (loose out on a champ, emblem, quickest way to transend is get cap to 60 in shortest time i.e. do early ascensions.)

Note that NPC champions are less a "big deal" than emblems imo. They can all be easily killed (like this for instance).

Theres 2 ways to play this really, ascend as soon you can for maximun amount of Champions and faster Emblem farming, but your Champions stats like Kill/Death ratio will be worse due to not having maxed out equipment, however due to the larger volume of Champions you will reach the passive soul income maximun earlier, which they just raised by a lot last patch.

Another way to play is dont ascend until you have hit level cap, farm dungeons and souls to get or buy the best equipment and runes possible, upgrade all spells and then ascend. This will give you a much stronger champion and increase its stats considerably. (this is also why some people have been complaining about losing to OP champions) However any half decent player will already have figured out the system where you can kill any champion without being hit once.

My gamestyle is going to be a combination of the 2, rush through the game and ascend as soon as possible, and once I have collected all the emblems for all 3 gods then pick a god I will support, (going for void since they are the underdogs by far) and create those uber "OP" champions from then on.

I ended up ascending more or less right away on the first two but this one I'm maxing a dude out just so I can have one champion who is kind of a badass who might maybe kill someone sometimes. Heh.
