Horizontal Black lines when scrolling
When moving vertically (only happens vertically) there are horizontal black lines between tiles...? Anyone else with this issue?

I do as well. Were you able to find a fix for this?

Edit: I get the lines if I maximize the window. If I leave it at its default size (rather small) no black lines.

I have this issue as well, but it's also auto-maximized. How do you run it in a window? :O

To be honest, I am not sure how I got into windowed mode. It started in full screen but randomly dropped to windowed. I think maybe I hit the brightness key on my laptop when it happened. I can't seem to get back to full screen though.

Found it, F11 to get to windowed mode. You may need to press a function key before F11 if your using a keyboard with the F-keys doubly as special keys (volume, etc).

Man, where's the upboat button? You need one for that :D

Could people having this issue post their screen resolution here? Reducing screen resolution should work better.

I have that problem too. My screen resolution is 2880x1800.

Here are some screenshots of what it looks like:

I'm assuming it is the UV coordinates that are halv a texel of, so the edge of the tile next to the visible one on the atlas is being showed. Iirc the player character have this bug too (I think all tiles have this bugs) and as the character animates, so does the black line above the character. I haven't been able to capture this on screenshots.

If it is a UV-coordinate problem and it is graphics card related my graphics cards are:
Intel HD Graphics 4000 and
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M

(I don't know which one the game use to render with)

I'm on a MacBook Pro (MacBookPro10,1)

Ps. Love the game! :)

I, too, am finding that there are thin black horizontal lines when I move up/down. At first only noticeable in water, but when getting one of the colour upgrades it then affected the entire screen.

I'm running it on a 2012 MacBook Pro,
15-inch (1440 x 900)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB graphics.

Haven't tried windowing it, as I am not sure how to window the game (F11 or fn+F11 doesn't work for me.)

Having this problem too. Still no fix? Getting black lines plus checkerboard lines around all the tiles in some places. Running fullscreen @ 1400x900.

This thread is rather old. I think this should have been fixed with the last patch but apparently not completely. 1400x900 sounds like an unusual resolution so it may be the issue. You could try sending a support request by mailing to support@shirogames.com about it.

For anybody still having this problem, the issue is caused by Windows DPI Scaling. This is when, at high resolutions (1080p+), Windows artificially up-scales the UI of programs that it thinks were designed for lower resolutions.

To fix, go to the app executable by right-clicking on Evoland in Steam, selecting its Properties, and selecting 'Browse Local Files'. Then right-click and open the Properties for Evoland.exe, and under the 'Compatibility' tab, tick 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"

Problem solved. Enjoy!

I have this issue (black lines in-between the tiles) as well. I have a Mac (not windows DPI scaling).

My screen is 1024x640, but it's retina. Physical resolution is twice that (2048x1280). Forced into full-screen mode at startup.

This is still an issue. I am using and old CRT monitor and tested it with a bunch of 4/3 resolutions. I am using Win 7, GTX 980, and 3570K, but I doubt that matters.

These resolutions work fine and do not show any lines in the original resolution window, windowed maximize to full screen, or fullscreen.

1280x960@85hz
1152x864@100hz
800x600@140hz

The following resolutions will show no lines in the original resolution window, but will show horizontal lines while moving vertically in a maximized window or full screen. In a maximized window the line are pretty much permanent. They are solid when you are stopped and then flicker a little when you walk, but you can always see them. When the game is in full screen, the lines do not show when you are standing still, but they will flash on and off when you are moving vertically.
