Tried all the fixes I could find, now the game recognizes the controller, which it didn't before, but it takes no input from it. Shame, as I was really looking forward to playing this game :(
1. In your Steam client goto "Library".
2. Right click "Evoland"
3. Click on "Properties"
4. Open tab "LOCAL FILES"
5. Click on "BROWSE LOCAL FILES.."
6. In Windows Explorer right click on "Evoland" or "Evoland.exe" (depending on your Windows settings)
7. In Properties open tab "Compatibility"
8. Check "Run this program as an administrator"
9. Repeat 6-8 for "pad(.exe)"
Depending on your Windows settings you might have to confirm to run the program as an administrator.

done all this multiple times... still recognizes controller but doesn't accept any input from it...
this work for me, Thanks. - I use Xbox One Controlles
This worked for me, thanks!
Windows 10 and wired 360 controller.
I think theres a problem related to the x1 controller on windows 10
That fix it for me too. But it did break the Steam Overlay.
The problem is, I say "controllers" even though I have just the one gamepad connected -- this is because it turns out that running pad.exe shows that it is listening to my mouse, a Roccat Tyon Black. I would like to figure out how to get it to listen to my XBox 360 for Windows wired gamepad instead, I feel like at that point I would actually be able to play this game instead of wasting hours trying to get it to recognize my gamepad.
