major lag on steam deck

As the title says, I'm experiencing almost 2 full seconds of lag from button press to reaction with the deck. disabled the framerate limit and tried it while plugged in and it made no difference

The lag only started happening to me whenever I use either control stick after unlocking the chest opening animation. As long as I use the d-pad the lag doesn't occur.

Same here, massive input lag on steam deck. even in the menu.
its unplayable, seems like the gae should not be verified.

Not for me, what other setting on the deck do you use?

Same here - the input lag became unplayable a few minutes into the game

Not for me, what other setting on the deck do you use?

I searched for Proton 6.3 on the Steam store, which installed Proton 6.3-8, and I applied it to Evoland via the game properties file (Compatibility tab). That seemed to work

I known how to set and get proton version thanks.
By others settings, i mean others steam deck settings (Refresh rates, half rates, tdp etc...), because as i stated, setting proton 6.3 does not fix the issue for me, thanks

Hmm, my SteamDeck is pretty much stock. I didn't change refresh rates or anything - left it at 60/60

I have the same issue. Proton Experiemental works for a while, but then eventually the controls lag again. So then I have to save and exit the game, and when I go back in, the controls are fine again.

it also didn't work after the recent updates. If someone has some settings for the game that work all the time that would be great.
