gamepad on windows 10 - xbox360 wireless

does not work - i tried admin mode, compatibilty mode.... with all that on, the game does not find the pad. if i turn it of, the game does find the pad but it just don't work. why..... ... damn it.

I have exactly the same problem. Tried all the possible combinations of compatibility read a bunch of articles on the Internet. Pad.exe show -
Found Bluetooth XINPUT compatible input device
Listening on 127.0.0.1:8034
Use gamepad xbox one s win10. Tried wireless and usb connection.

same here trying to play via steamlink with xbox one remote (which works fine with other games) results in "no controller found" in options menu. Please fix this.

Are you sure you opened pad.exe with admin rights while the receiver was in and the controller was connected to it? That would be strange, just that did the trick for me. Now it works.

same here with x1 wireless. the pad.exe sees the controller, but I cant configure it inside the game. no response

Yup. Broken here too. I remember playing it with Xbox controller prior to Win 10. Now, nothing. Gamepad works on all other games as intended. Would be nice to hear from a dev on this. KB/M on this game is atrocious. Completely not playable.

I got an aftershock xbox 360 gamepad working on windows 10 by running the pad.exe in administrator mode and opening the game normally in steam

I think there is an inherent problem with Win 10 and X1 controllers. Spent a long time browsing solutions here and elsewhere on the internet and everyone using this combo seems to be stuck. I'm in the same boat, tried every possible fix but nothing helped. I read somewhere that the developers don't care about this issue untll it is ported to console, I don't know how truthful that is though. I have also messaged the developers on Twitter but they have ignored me.
