I have mixed feelings about this game. There are a lot of annoying/trial and error things that don't get explained very well in the game. Building for one, as it takes awhile to get good at planning layouts correctly. Foundations are annoying to mess with but basically necessary. Quite often I'd have a error pop up on a room stating it wasn't "surrounded by walls and doors" when it was. (Which could only be solved by taking out the door or some portion of the wall, then replacing it. Which takes awhile). I think that's more of a glitch than a building issue though.

Also, I went into this game not expecting a lot of story/plot. Which I guess is ok, but it was a little intense right at the start. The first goal is to fix up the electric chair, which felt like something to address later in the game. Additionally, you can get a pretty detailed summary of each prisoner, but there isn't a ton to do with this information. As for staff, they have give you less of their life stories, but they do get tired an awful lot. And even if you build a staff room, the game will still let you know that X amount of staff are tired, and you should fix it! ..Even though the way to fix it is building a staff room..

Besides the glitches and annoying little details here and there, the game was fun to play. The secondary launcher program is one of the biggest annoying issues. But if you can get past all of that, the game is entertaining in a business management sense.

Really fun game if you like sandboxes, though gets difficult quickly.

after few months of not playing it doesn't let me open the game anymore. its says end user licence agreement. I don't even know what that supposed to mean but I tried everything for the last 2 hours to make it work and I finally give up. Game was fun while I could play it but this is so frustrating and I never had that kind of problem with any game that I cannot recommend it. If you really want to buy it go for it but you are not guaranteed that you can play it. (at least you can return it if in 2 h playtime).. I unfortunately cant.

Now requires a separate launcher to play. Menu and building takes a little while to get accustomed to, not the greatest setup. Added a ton of DLC, I assume because of being bought by paradox but they are pretty money grubbing. If you really want a good prison experience I'd suggest Rimworld instead.

good game, runs good on mac and i hope PA2 will be for mac to unlike CS2 :(
