Water doesn't work even though it's connected?
So, I have a power station & a water pump station close to each other, but not too close. The water pump station is receiving power, so it should be working. I have large pipes going from the water station to a holding cell, then 2 small pipes going from the large pipe to the toilet.

Problem? The toilet is still flashing a water drop as if it's not getting water, but utility mode shows water moving through the pipes just fine. I'm having this problem with EVERYTHING that requires water - sinks, showers, everything. Am I doing it wrong? Or is the game broken? It's the same no matter how many new games I make. Google isn't telling me anything. Help?

Could you post a screenshot by any chance?

water has to touch the object. so showers and toilets for example, you can't just run the water to the square next to it, you have to put a pipe under it (on the same square).

think of it like the toilet in your house, they ran the water to the wall behind it, but then had to add another pipe to actually connect to the object. i suspect in game you currently have the water just going to the wall (on the square next to the object).

Just make sure everything build. The water pump has electricity going to it and that the water pump station is turned on. If this doesn't work then a screenshot would be good.

I have the same problem apart from It's on the object all pipes are built and the water just stops flowing at a random pipe. Can someone help?

Small pipes have limits on how far they can carry water. DO a search or look on the wiki for the exact distance a small pipe will work.

I am having the same problem WITH the pipes under the toilet. I have large pipes that aren't even that long but close enough that they should (or did) have water flowing into the small pipes only roughly 5 or 6 tiles away. I never had this problem back when I first started playing this game. I can't get water to run for the life of me. I am gonna be taking some screenshots. I am starting again with a fresh save anyway and see how far I can get.

Not sure why you necroed a 2 year old thread for this. You'll be better off posting some pics of your utility view and a new thread in the main forum.

Since the boilers was added the need for more than 1 pump has an effect. For example i cut the amount of boilers and connections to the main pipes down by half due to adding more pumps. My latest prison has around 4 or 5 pumps spread around the prison. Try adding another pump and connect it to the main water setup you have going on and see if it makes a difference.

Why did you bother copy pasting something that was ruled out to be not the problem? Did you even read the first sentence of Mr. Bong's post?

Here's what I suspect. The water is running through a small pipe, into a large pipe, and then into small pipe again.
