Laundry bug

At my prison, i have a laundry room that is fully furnished, and has prisoners assined to it, but everytime work time comes along, my prisoners just sit there in the laundry room and wont work, but are complaining about the dirty clothes. What should i do?

so there's nothing really wrong with your design, and you're getting bit by bug more than anything. there is a way to make things work again, but the measures i employed to do so should only be necessary until the next update comes out.

there are two links at the bottom of this post showing the changes.

(1) first, with the basket in the shower, and the basket currently in the hallway, i used the foundation tool to bulldoze the square directly underneath them. this queues a job to dump the basket and clothes within it. once this is done, use the foundation tool and put the square back.

(2) next, use the materials tool and bulldoze the horizontal walls in between the cells in center.
there are two doors i placed which may not be necessary but allow prisoners access to the backside of those outside walls in case a uniform gets tossed on the wall. one at the top of your common room, and another in the fence to the bottom left of your yard.

finally, i massaged your regime just a little to add more work hours, and (3) shifted your laundry workers around in deployment so the 'working' laundry only has two guys, and the 'workforce' laundry full.

step 1 is to take care of what appear to be straight up bugged laundry/carts, 2 is to minimize possibility of uniforms getting thrown in unrecoverable locations, and 3 to minimize or eliminate problems with guys getting stuck on eachother in the middle of the room when trying to work.

there are two jobs which will remain in the queue which once the bugged carts/uniforms are removed will be relabeled as move x to y, but they'll move to the bottom of the list and don't appear to cause more problems.

Is it really fixed? I have just built a prison with Alpha 11 and my landry workers just hang around doing nothing... no riots so far as I have no high security prisoners but still, landry is not working...

For some reason there are no laundry related jobs in the jobs tab, although workers are assigned and appear as working in the laundry room....

The bug is still happening for me, but now they just walk around the room. :/

Test, test, and test again - its possible that the changes will be most apparent in new prison designs. If it does look like a bum update on laundry, we should let the devs know ASAP

Now it is working, but I dont know why hahaha.

Ive built an additional wing and then sudently workers started to deliver new clothes....

Probably some hard to explain path issue...

The laundry bug was not for prisoners hanging around . . . it was that laundry was not accesable because they were stuck ins walls! Check you job que and see if there is a job that can't be done, because there is no path to it. Otherwise, they are just waiting for the next step in laundry to trigger!
Since, you haven't explained your problem with laundry, maybe you are just missing an ironing board, that was the mistake I did at first!!!

Access from laundry room to cells was free.

New uniforms arrived, they placed the new uniforms in a basket but never moves the basket around (there was no object near the basket....).

After I started bulding more cells in a different area of the prison everyhing started working fine.

I have no clue why....

I was having the same problem with the basket. I'm making another world now to see if i can fix the problem.

Did the beds have all clothes on them? If so, they don't send out another basket with clothes.

A screenshot would be more helpfull . . .

edit: My laundry works absolutely fine . . .

Yes. At least for me it was 100 percent a pathfinding issue to laundry stuck in walls. Haven't played alpha 11 yet so I don't know if it's been fixed.
