Error 0xc0150002?

Hi.. I've been getting this error the entire day.. and i have no clue how to fix it. I've searched everywhere.. and nothings helped so far. I keep getting this error:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application.

Please help me.. I wanna play this game so bad.. and i dang well didnt spent $30 on it just to look at it on my desktop... PLEASE help.

can you head over to:

%APPDATA%/local/introversion/prisonarchitect and let us know whats in your debug.txt?

Also, take this to the introversion forums - hit the sticky at the top for info on how to activate your introversion id

I have a post on their forums as well! But i went to there, and i dont even have a Folder named Introversion at all. I don't know why... I downloaded the game to PC, and on Steam, and both come with this error. The game doesn't even load, it just gives me this error RIGHT when i double click the game.. :( heeelp

that might be a steam error

Head to the prison architect wiki and try downloading the game from there - thats outside of steam. See if you still hit an issue.

I would e-mail the devs and get on their forum.

Can you provide info on your OS and such? I haven't seen any bugs related to the crash error you are describing.

I wonder if its an issue with you missing a .net package.

Idk, ill download them both and see what happens! Thank you so much for helping me though, i really appreciate it :) but yeah if this doesnt work i think ill try and send them an email!

NP. Searching that particular error message brings up a bunch of issues regarding missing visualbasic libraries and .net3/4 frameworks, so thats my guess.

I keep trying to download the second link, and i've gotten this error with all 3 of the downloads.. "KB2600211 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer." why does nothing ever work for meee ._.

What OS do you have? You should go via windows update and grab any .net 3/4 packages, its all OS specific.

Gateway 64bit! but kk!! and yeah..i've always had Windows Update turned off cause it always annoyed the living hell out of me.. but ill turn it on and update everything :P

:) OK if you don't want to do that, just search .net framework and go from there, I would startw ith that before trying the visual studio 2008 runtimes

Ok, im 102 out of 111 updates complete, and i decided to test if Prison Architect works.. AND IT DOES. Kinda. My screen went black and it began working, but then it froze. I'm only going to guess it froze because i dont have enough memory to run all the stuff i am now. So ill wait to the updates finish, and ill tell you. But i think it was the .net framework thing that i was missing.

You might also need to update video card drivers - there are some issues with OpenGL and ATI cards, or so it seems.
