in the middle of step 1. Anyone else?
as for assigning workers, make sure you have door(s) on your room, and it's sometimes necessary to designate or undesignate the square underneath the door as laundry, in order to get it to separate correctly.
Step 1: Just after work regime starts, dezone all cells by selecting rooms/cells. Now right click & drag to dezone all cells.
Step 2: 30 minutes before work regime ends, rezone all cells.
After rezoning cells, all prisoners will have handcuffs on & guards will escort prisoners back to cells. After prisoners are in cells gaurds will remove handcuffs & all is back to normal.
Thats it, simple? well i found a few things you need to do so this procedure flows better.
In step 2, your time may differ. You will want the prisoners in cells before next regime starts so the prisoners don't miss next regime. No problem if prisoners miss next regime, but they may get angry due to not fulfilling needs.
Some dirty clothes will be on back cell walls. Laundry works will need a secure access route to back of cell walls to retrive them. If its not secured they will escape. LOL
One more thing, you will need to do steps 1 & 2 everytime for work regime.
I only have around 35 prisoners by the way.
I've never had a problem with clothing, though I know it's still a confused system that would cause trouble for some if prisoners were programmed to riot. I get by with just three to five prisoners in my laundry, and a enough laundry baskets for them to make the rounds.
Other than that I just added a bunch of baskets, increased the laundry room size but only kept 4 employees for my 6 cell blocks of 10 prisoners each.. obviously not everyone is going to have the same size or dimension prison, but don't place as many workers that will fit in the room to start off
Laundry is fixed and working in Alpha 11, with the exception of prisoners with baskets clipping corners sometimes. With one prisoner per basket and two prisoners per washing machine, there should be no problems with transport and turnover. Everyone else can hang out until collection or distribution time. The prisoner vortex is gone, so it should be very straight forward to make and maintain a 20 person laundry.
