Welcome to the Prison Architect Alpha!

We’re pretty serious about getting your feedback on the Prison Architect Alpha. If you’re not interested in this then just download and play, but if you have thoughts about how to improve the game we’d love to hear from you. The first thing to do is follow @IVSoftware so you can keep up to date with announcements about what we’re focussing on.

We have a plethora of community activities running over on the introversion site including:
- A private discussion forum for alpha customers
- A private wiki that includes our community localisation
- A private bug database to log issues so we can triage and fix.

When you buy Prison Architect on Steam you will be issued a key that looks like this:
PSTEAM-UWBBVJ-ELKUZX-JRCRDK-DBO

Armed with this, follow the instructions here: http://support.introversion.co.uk/customer/portal/articles/871540-how-to-activate-your-account to activate your account.

Any issues, just mail support@introversion.co.uk and we’ll fix you up.

it is quite annoying that when i try to research janitor/grounds keeper it rarely works and also sometimes all things to do are qeued so they will not be built. please can this bug be fixed in the next update along with other stuff? if not please soon

The beauracracy unlocks happen one at a time, so the next in queue is not done until the current research is finished. I usually unlock all the "primary" people (Guard Capt., Accountant, Foreman, etc) then pick Custodial first (prisons get messy).

I've unlocked everything and hired/filled everyone and they all work for me. I know that probably does not help you, but at least we know things are working for some, while possibly broken for others?

Why dont my workers work?
I started over prison architect like 5 times now and every prison i make some where down the line all my workers just stop working and then i looked in the jobs menu and it says the workers are (Quened) and i dont know why they don't build anything or do anything besides wander around the delivery and garbage places and i tried to start over i tried to uncheck everything and nothing seems to work so if someone could help me i would really appreciate that. Also thank you ahead of time for everyone helping me.

I bought this game a year ago, prior to being released on steam. I no longer have my email that contained purchase. How do i move it over to steam? I just checked it, i can still access it, the last update i had was #6. Its been a while.

when I open my game I get a eror mesage saying (eror app alredy running) but the thing is the game is NOT OPEN!?!?!?!?!?! PLZ Help if not $30 for nothing so PLZ PLZ PLZ help D:

There are a few bugs but you can mostly work around them.

I don't know if you guys(the developers) will see this, but the most recent update is amazing. I love that you let us roam around our own prison freely, but I really hope you guys expand upon it a bit more. For example, the ability to actually work in the workshop or laundry, having needs like hunger, hygene and sleep, we could have an accessible inventory, maybe even have a bribe feature with the guards, or trade with other prisoners to get useful items. There really is sooo much you guys can do, please don't stop adding features to this amazing mode.

Prison Architect is by far the best Early Access game I've played, I can't thank you enough for staying dedicated to it and frequently bringing us these great updates.

Posts in the Developer section of the official forums get seen by the developers. And in the video for Alpha 20 they say the ability to wander around your prison will be expanded in the future.
