How do you remove tunnels the prisoners dig?

Button "materials" left side, at the bottom "remove tunnels", there u go. :)
Btw, from time to time do a SHAKEDOWN, red emergency buttons.
U will wonder what u all find..tools, stuff, weapons..and sometimes alot tunnels.
Looks like vietnam then, tunnel-rats hehe.
Also, at night around 2am when the prisoners are asleep hover the mouse over each one in his bed and check the Sleep 'Need' stat. If it's high, and not going down, that means the prisoner is likely making a tunnel and using a decoy in his bed. Go search that cell NOW!

My problem is that I can't find the tunnels. My guard dog sniffs around and clearly finds the tunnels, but they don't show up and I can't remove them using the remove tunnels tool. Also doing a shakedown never finds any tunnels. I'm on alpha 16 Steam version...

Is the dog digging in the same place every time? They do false positives the same as metal detectors, they also don't actually reveal tunnels unless there's a prisoner directly underneath the dog. If your shakedowns are not turning up anything you probably have no tunnels.

Yeah I noticed that I actually didn't have any tunnels, as I found one a bit later during a shakedown.. The dog was just digging around for no reason.
My workers are refusing to remove the tunnels because it's "Too dangerous" despite it being nowhere near any prisoners and all the prisoners are happy anyway.
It's better to search the cells for tunnels during daytime, like Shower or Eat because IF you find a tunnel while somebody is digging they will make a run for it.
This will count as Escape Attempt and decrease their grading, and you also have to clobber them which might inpact their health rating.
During the day you find the tunnel, punish the prisoner and cover it up without grading impacts.

Too dangerous disappears after a while, or you can save/quit/restart and it'll be gone.
