Comfort Jail Cell layout (example)
This is an example layout for jail cells that have built in showers and tvs. Each cell has its own tv and shower. From what I've seen it seems to make prisoners less grouchy and they get into less fights. I got the layout from another poster (forgot whose post it was), but it is now the only cell I use (not counting holding/solitary).
Note: you still have to put a door on the shower so that you can designate the cells as jail cells and the showers as showers.
Making cell blocks of them does use up a little more room, but less fights, deaths, problems makes them well worth it. (in my opinion).

In the mornings having your regime as free time, shower, free time, eat is a good way to stop prisoners getting angry. However most of then sleep through the first free time. It at least means some do wake up and sort out their needs. Then they all go and shower but less people are initially angry. Then after the showers they can sort out their needs again. Which usually invokes taking a dump. And then they can go to the canteen happy. Meaning more pass reform program's and more are interested in them.

I never put shower time in my regime, not needed. I go directly from sleep, to free time, eat, free time.....that way they can sleep/use toilet/shower before eating if they want, and after eating they can do the same......then directly to work. No problems so far.

Its really expensive to outfit each cell with a showers and TVs. Even though in free time prisoners congregate in the common rooms and fights do happen, its cheaper to just have communal facilities and deal with the issues as they arise.

If a showertime in regime is set, It will be more efficiant.

@Traffic Conez - adding the tv is probably a little much, but I disagree with the shower. You will be setting up 1 shower per prisoner anyway, so better to automatically have one ready for incoming prisoners (in my opinion).

@Bonus Ducks! - I will designate showertime and see if it works better. I'm always for better efficiency, thank you. :)

@NeonVoxel - You have too many grates for your showers. you just need one grate on each side (where any water would be able to run out of) and that would block off any water problem from happening.
Besides that, I like your setup. All in one simplicity. :)

I will try and remove grates and see how it works but before it would leak into the halls. Hope you are right cus grates are expensive.

Put the grates right under the doors to the shower...

@NeonVoxel - Here is an example of a basic shower room. a few shower heads, 1 room entrance, 1 drain in the entrance. Water will always stay in that room.

If you really wanted to you could build a MUCH bigger room, with alot more showerheads, and keep still just keep 1 entrance and 1 drain in the entrance.
