Fast way to dump multiple items.

I have a stockpile full of items that I dismantled and no longer want. Is there a quick way to dump them? Clicking on each one and selecting dump takes forever.

If they are inside you can use "clear indoor area" which you can find in your materials. Just click&drag but this will dump everything except cables and pipes. So if you use it on your storage room (I suspect all those items got stored there), you will delete the lights and flooring.

If your items are not inside, you would need to build a storage room. On the outside there is no other way than dumping them one by one.

Bins, lots and lots o bins. Don't forget to put em in a staff-only room so dem naughty prisoners can't get to emz and store contraband in those bins.

1. Prisoners only put contraband into their own cell.
2. Bins don't improve the speed at which things are dumped and don't help in general.

What are they supposed to do, in your opinion?

Um, they kinda make the prison not look like a garbage disposal with trashbags just randomly laying around... so visual I guess

Aye, but you only need them in rooms that actually produce trash. Which is basically just the kitchen, occasionally a Library, that's it.

Isn't it the case that after a prisoner is searched, the contraband found needs to be dumped?

No, it just disappears after a few seconds completely on its own.

I'm sure I saw someone pick up keys that were dropped by another prisoner when searched.
