1. Did you build foundations and not just walls?
2. Did you put in all the furniture?
3. Is it big enough?
4. Did you zone the room as Holding Cell?
5. Did you zone the doorway as well? If yes: you shouldn't have.
Point 5 that Sperber posted above is the only relevent thing he mentioned - if you included the doorway in the zone, get rid of that.
The whole area you designate as a holding cell must be directly in contact with walls or doors all the way around. If you've tried to do something like having a 7x5 room where you've got a 5x5 holding cell with a 2x5 shower beside it, one whole side of the holding cell would be next to a shower rather than walls/doors so it'd fail because of that, even if the other three sides of the shower are surrounded by walls.
We had people coming to this forum with a similar question and they only build some walls, didn't use the foundations tool. I saw people who confused chairs and benches. We had people who just clicked once to assign the room instead of click and drag.
So please, keep your insulting facepalms to yourself. Not a single point of my answer is irrelevant because it already happened to other players. And without more information form womdombus all of my points may be the cause to his problems. How the hell should I know? Maybe you are the great wise guy with psychic powers who magically saw the whole thing happening. I am not.
But, well. maybe I should just stop wasting my time by helping out beginners. I have nothing to gain from it. I could have played PA myself, or build a fort out of empty milk cartons instead. But no, I thought helping people might be the right thing to do. Boy was I wrong. Thank god, really great people like you are here who in addition to helping also like to insult and aggravate others.
I guess, I learned my lesson.
Why don't you **** off!
And to wormdombus: I am sorry, if I could not help you. I tried. For the time being, I suggest you listen to Dalimyr! He is our grandmaster and knows all the stuff. He will never fail you as I have failed you. Really sorry!
Although I figured it out myself, your solution was spot on. I had included the door in the zoning and also the thing about the shower block and stuff. Thanks! :)
I;m not sure what your problem is, but those 5 questions are entirely relevant. They are probably the top 5 things people get wrong when building a room going by the threads on this forum.
You even go into the size of the room and the objects in the room in your sanctimonious schpeel. What a tit.
It was Sperber who solved your issue. That Dalimyr guyy just wandered in, wrote some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and wandered off.
I think I know who answered my question matey. I had already tried the zoning beneath the door and the thing with the showers was the actual problem. Although I appreciate Sperbers answer and how nice it looked, Dalimye answered my question in its entirity.
Theres also no reason for you to come in and post completely off topic
I also dont appreciate swearing, so shift it.
