Still having laundry problems

I do not understand what more I can do to fix laundry. I have multiple max-sec laundry assigned rooms and yet for some reason all my max sec prisoners have dire clothing needs. It's just not working at all. I've checked that the laundry is connected to cell blocks, I've tried deleting routes and assigning them again and it just refuses to get clean clothes to my prisoners.

Can anyone help?

For some reason Steam isn't letting me upload a screenshot. But I'm sure you can picture it: Three cell blocks with three laundry rooms. Each cell block has a laundry room connection. When work hours come, some sort of labour happens - yet clean clothes aren't making their way to my prisoners.

Did you pull the line from the laundry to the cell area?

I can't remember. I have two laundry rooms with dotted lines and the third is a straight uninterrupted line. All have animations showing the flow going out of the laundry rooms into the cell blocks. All very confusing.

Did you assign prisoners to work the laundry room and do you have janitors to do the work when inmates wont.

I have assigned prisoners yeah and have lots of janitors

The janitors do the work typically when the inmates sleep so with a regime 6am to 10pm day time routine and 10pm to 6am sleep the janitors will do laundry at 0000.

Iv'e had various problems where services stop working (kitchen, parole , teachers. laundry) but I realised very early on that it's sometimes better to start a new prison following a new alpha update. There are times when the problems suddenly start working again but you never quite know what you did to fix them. Remember its still alpha and consider making a new facility. Onwards n Upwards dude :)

Cad, I just wanted to add a death row cell block and play around with the new features in Alpha 31 and I have to contend with riots over dirty clothing :( maybe you're right but I'm not ready to give up just yet. Building new prisons takes hours

I know what you mean and its a pain to start over, you can turn all the dotted yellow lines connecting the laundry to solid lines by holding shift and clicking on the laundry, keep shift down and select the cell blocks you want, I think the dotted lines work anyway but its worth trying, (It may have worked once for me but I tried a few things at the same time so not sure) good luck :)

try dumping all the clothes just sitting in ALL of your laundrys. It typically fixes this issue

Right...so I thought I'd try what Lissa said by dumping all the dirty uniforms. I just made my way, getting rid of the uniforms I could find, to the protective custody laundry room (I have 1 prisoner in protective custody) and I just found absolutely loads of prisoner uniforms just sitting there. Bizarre!
