2) I have a mini infirmary in each of my cell block, and the doctor use those small staff-room which is next to the infirmary; however, it seems that the guards have a different logic as each of them are on rotation in different location
3) One of the grant obviously indicates that you should have extra guards not doing anything; that 6/10 ratio might be a bit too much, so I usually goes for 4/10 around 250 and 2/10 around 500
4) The lockdown time is related to punishment. I always have 1 hour of that just to balance out the work/freetime of a day. As the prisoner security level goes up, I would increase it and further suppressed it with armed guards during activity to prevent max-prisoner doing stupid thing
5) As for thrown contraband, it's 10 space from the outta most layer of wall/fence, so build another layer of wall/fence after those 10 space and prevent prisoner venturing the space; trying to build a prison like those Dev update video is asking for suicide
6) The stealing rate/smuggling rate is governed by "supply & demand", so a min-securiy will probably steal as many as a max-security because those min-sec can "sell" those stuff to other prisoners when they are close in contact
7) If they are very suppresed, they aren't likely to join programs. Further, it seems like only 1/3 of prisoners are interested in certain types of thing (i.e. 1/3 wants to join education, 1/3 of addicts interested in those addiction correction, 1/3 wants to cook, etc) and it's very possible that those 1/3 happens to be almost the same prisoners by chance
8) I gotta say this is an interesting idea, as pesticide is another contraband.

I was watching this Problem, with lowering the forestry, more ingredients where delivered.
But one of my four kitchen got always to less ingredients.
I think the problem is, that the game cant split foodbaskets.
The calculation is like "60prisoners, so bring one basket with 20 potatos"for example... a cook grabs this delivery and cooks from another kitchen havent the chance to "get a piece of that pie".
Later i will try to lower the number of fridges AND raise the number of prisoners in each block.
So, are you saying that if I do a search cell block at night I might find dummies in the bed or noticing them missing?
I only do a cell block search during the morning as the prisoners will use 3 hours to shower and eat and that will be enough time to not making them agitated.
2) Pathing and logistics can be nightmares.
3) See above. So many posts about broken kitchens. I've tried everything. I've never found a sure fix. Some fix if you try all the forum solutions, others never do. Sometimes you have to sell and start a new prison.
4) Lockup works for sleep too with the benefit of logging lockdown hours needed to help with reform. The only time I use sleep is if I keep prisoners up to late and I want them to go to bed quickly. Most never do, so meh.
5) No amount of dogs or detectors will catch all the contraband even if you have the safety gap to the fence. If you want to get it all you have to micro manage and cellblock search ALL incoming trucks even the ones with prisoners. You need to search all rehab infirmary meetings, Pyschologist meetings, most visitations,any CI who enters a security room, and all workshop shifts. If you do you can catch 99% of contraband. I don't let prisoners clean to save the trouble of keeping an eye on them. If you feed them good and give them plenty of needs they won't mind the searches.
6) See above. If you don't mind searching all work shifts use all your prisoners for max income.
7) If you use armed guards they will suppress your prisoners and that will negatively effect their want to learn. Suppresion is good for safety, but bad for relaxed learners.
8) Ick vegetables. You can lock them up for life, but don't be so mean as to make them eat them greens. :)
If you rip out a toilet with a tunnel under it the whole tunnel network will be exposed. If multiple cells are working on that thunnel it can be a big one. Sometimes you may have to rip out all toilets in the general area to find the tunnel.
What I am saying is what does he meant by "in the act" which I assume to be like cell block search at night. Anyway,I have always been dismentling toilet as the "sure hit" method
Not toilets but toilet because I design my small pipe flow in a way that I only need to check one toilet once a while.
"In the act"....Zoom in when people are locked up, and look for them doing shady stuff, digging holes. You can catch people doing all kinds of things when you zoom in and watch for a bit. See them drinking booze and what not. Pretty cool stuff.

This really works. Not always for drugs but yeah. Also, theres a mod where it helps the metal detector detect lighters. Im pretty sure it works. Still, got some people smoking weed in their cells but yeah. But I got a REALLY good record for no drug overdoses. They are bad. They can kill the prisoner.
