Why won't my remote doors work?
Why won't my remote doors work? Installed two ways. Other "servo spot" one on the left.

Your servos are not in the correct place. They go to the side of the door with the crank part over the actual door. Build them into the wall beside the door and they will work. Also make a sure the wire runs from console to servo rather than the other way around, can't tell from a screenshot what way ur wiring is but just pointing it out incase!

Watch the alpha 23 update vedio if you need too again to see how door servos should be placed.

Master yoda is right.
Just place the square part on a wall, and the gear part on the door, will work then.

Thank you, Sir.

Odd that the door is opened if your servo doesn't work.
Did you connect the door control panel to the servo, and not the servo to the door control panel?
yoda Sep 23, 2014 @ 11:23am
Yup make sure when's u wire it you start the wire at the control desk and run it to the servo. Do that for each servo and don't connect servos... Run a separate wire from control to each servo.

like I said dude, watch alpha 23 video on YouTube, explains it all!

I watched it. I don't remember mentioning you can't run a wire from servo to control, only from control to servo.

I opened manually.

Try a different door? I've never used those 'Remote Doors', but I assume, based off the title, that they don't need servos to be opened remotely. Try using the servo on a regular jail door, or see if you can directly wire the control panel to the door not the servo?

Yes I got it to work, the trick was that you have to connect FROM control box TO servo. If you put it other way around it won't work (but is possible for some reason, alpha). Also at first I couldnt figure out the right spot to put the servos. They should be sideways, square part on top of the wall.

That's just what we said from the top...
Also, the connection has to be set on the way the input will -> i.e. your control panel "controls" the servo, not the other way around (alpha or not, make sense).

Useless things are not possible in games ever, or they would be frustrating not fun.

i have the same problem here using alpha 34 but what ever i do it does not work and yes i have the wires conected from control to servo and yes the servos are in the right place i tryed other solutions they always sta open and some are giving me "remote doors will not open without a working servo" so it`s giving me a headache.

u can see clearly here 2 left vertical 1 horizontalin the middle all 3 working but the 2 on the right ......??????
i have tryed to do the conections from contral to servo and the other way around but i`m confinsed that is not the problem . timing whenever u build the doors first or after the servo`s doesn`t seem to fix it either , o and i do not have any mod or fixed map installed .

Servo's need to be connected to your electrical wires to work. Run a wire to into the wall hex the servo's on and they should work.

If u look at the picture i already did that so that is not the problem , i have installed 5 remote doors with servo`s only 3 are working .I just figured out that only remote controled doors have this problem and that the problem sometimes only comes in vertical installmend not horizontals , ones installed vertical remote control doors having problems with there servo`s
