Generators and Capacitors
I have greater power demand than my one generator can handle. I have all 16 slots next to it filled with capacitors, but added a whole bunch more capacitors that dont seem to be doing anything. do i need to make another generator and make two separate electrical systems for different parts of the prison?

Make two seperate generator for different parts of the prison. I tried linking two generators thinking it would balance together but nope, it resulted in a power failure...

yeah thats what i figured. that sucks... wayyy more planning will be needed i guess... now to redo the power grid.

You don't need to plan more, you just need to do another power generator. The wires will get to the same place in the end, no?

The game is still in Alpha, not even Beta so there's a lot of content that can be added in the future like power balancing with generators and many other things.
Sometimes there's some stuff and details I think that should be added but in overall, the amount of details that is already there is stunning.

Description of prisoners (I want description of Workers/Cooks/Etc. too!)
A lot of variety of randomly generated faces for prisoners
Unique characters out of the randomly generated crowd.
Unique animations for every different characters and their every moves.
Etc.

There's things to fix within the code though. The game isn't amazing graphically but still lags like hell when I look at the map in Utility mode. The more wires and pipes I add, the more it lags. If we compare this game to something like Sim City, this game shouldn't ram that much even though there's a lot of details and stuff.

Well he needs to make sure the two generators power completely separate parts of the prison and that their respective power cables never cross each other or else all the generators will short out and he'll have no power at all, so yeah he's got at least a bit of planning to do ;)

You still can put them side by side, follow the surrounding wires without making them cross together and get them to the same place you wanted them to go. Seriouly, there's not really that much more planning to be done.

It's not like the water flowing less and less to more you make pipes.
Still, in real life, there's current lost with long wires.

The only reason this would require any planning at all would be if you insisted on putting all the generators into the same room. If, on the other hand, you are fine with just building a 2nd generator room on the other side of the prison when you run out of power then there's no reason wires would ever cross (unless you get into logical circuits and want to use wires to transmit signals)

its planning in that i at least need to account for that i will need more generators at some point... i had to dig up a bunch of wiring for my prison

If you want to put perimiter walls in at some point you need to do a little planning. I found this out to my cost when I decided to put a walled in area for a maximum security wing and cut off the power when I put the wall up! If you decide to do this, I find it's best to have either a gap in the wall (I did this at the end of a patrolled corridor) or put a generator inside the walled off area.

Actually, yes, it does do that in-game. The more you branch pipes, and the longer you make them, the less will be able to flow over all the branches.

I said that electricity isn't like the water which is flowing less and less the more you make pipes. No, You don't lose current the more you make wires but I understand the misunderstanding, I should have wrote :

"It's not like the water (which is) flowing less and less to more you make pipes."
