prisioners starving, while im over flooded with cooks
i have 2 kitchens and dining rooms, both fully equiped and filled with stuff.
i did it so that the prisioners will have 2 meals every day, each one for 3 hours.
but when the time comes, the prisioners enter the dining room and just stand at the entrance..
the serving table is empty! here and there the cooks place a little bit of food on it,
but most of the time its just empty...
help :P

Two three hour meal times?! That's quite a lot. How do you get any work, education or recreation done?

How many prisoners do you have. Also, post a screenshot of the problem, please.

Sounds like you need a lot more Cookers, and 1:1 ratio of Cooks to Cookers (-1 Cook for each prisoner working in your kitchens).

I make do with two seperate, 1 hour Eat blocks and everything runs fine.

Yeap, not enough cookers. Generally you want 3-5 Cookers per serving table, and 1 serving table per 40 prisoners.

So you have 2 Serving Tables, but only 4 Cookers. You'll want at least 6.

And 3 hour Eat times are too long. Either put two hours, or one hour followed by Free.

6 hours of eating is way too much, even for 73 prisoners. You could still do one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening and be fine if your kitchens and canteens are large enough and centrally located.

Also, redesign your canteen so the serving tables are next to the door. As it is they come in and have to cross to the other side of the room just to get their food. That wastes time.

I have 5 cookers in the kitchen you see in the pic,
i also have another dining room, a smaller one which you cant see on the pic,
it got 3 cookers, also it wont let me add more cookers.
overall i have 3 serving tabels, 2 in the big dining room and one in a small dining room...
the cookers just walking around doing nothing, they dont serve....

You have two Canteens? Well that's most likely your problem. The game can't cope very well with more than one at the moment.

game can cope with more than 1 canteen and kitchens, but you must place them so that you have many prisoners in each canteen.
Though the most annoying problems thats accours are that cooks are not evenly distributed meaning a majority are in one kitchen meaning not cooking enough food for prisoners in canteen and not serving fast enough.
Hope for a way to deploy the normal staff too forinstance so you can evenly split cooks and deploy to only do laundry, which is where I have big issues if there are 2 cus all wagons end up in only 1 laundry.
