How Do I make my prisoners happy?

My prisoners have individual cells with televisions, 3 meals a day and training/work options. The yerd has pool tables, weight benches and phone booths (they avoid the common room). So what else do I have to do to make them happy?

i have the same problem i cant make them happy i always have 3 risk bars idk how to lower it.

It's probably your regime. You don't need 3 meals a day. Two will be fine. Common rooms aren't functional.
Did you hire a psychologist? That will tell you a lot about why your guys aren't happy.

You need to check the "needs" tab. That is a great indication if the bar is filling up red under hygene for instance, they need to shower. Make sure you have visitation, thats a biggie that everyone forgets. You can use free time to let them choose how to make themsleves feel better. For instance during free time, a prisoner will use the toilet, take a shower, and call home to someone where another prisoner will use the shower, use the workout bench, and sit down to relax. Free time is a light version of a curall if your prison has the facilities. The only thing they dont do on free time is eat because the kitchen staff have to prep the food for that, but if they are really tired, they'll even sleep. Check that needs tab and you'll know how your pissing them off.
