Can't get prisoners to work in kitchen (Resolved)

Before peole start screaming "THERE WAS AN UPDATE YOU NEED TO TRAIN THEM FIRST" etc, etc. I have my kitchen safety program running at an abysmal success rate of 20%. Thus far only 2 prisoners can actually work in the kitchen. However, when I go into deployment the kitchen is not green and I can assign no positions for prisoners to wokr in the kitchen. Is there nay way to fix this, or do I need more prisoners trained before I can assign those positions?

You should just be able to assign jobs to kitchen regardless. I don't have any prisoners in my prison yet, so no training, and yet I can assign jobs to the kitchen.

Try removing the kitchen room and then placing it again. Maybe that'll wake up the deployment screen.
Or, maybe it's set as staff only?

I did'nt think that was problem, and removing the kitchen and replacing it doesn't help either

Found the problem, I needed to have a door seperating the canteen and kitchen (was short on funds so I did'nt have one) thanks for your help though

Ah, of course. Yeah, job rooms do need to be fully closed off, like Cell's do.

Got the same problem with the prisoners, noones working in the kitchens and also the workshop is not in use. Got enough prisoners, got everything devided by a wall. Laundry and cleaning is working well though.

Replacing did not work.

Any ideas?

Also, are yuor rooms set to Shared under Deployment?

Yop and yop und just found the problem, for some reason my prison labor deployment was reset but only for kitchen and workshop.

I just had the same problem, my Kitchen wasn't hiring... then I found this thread! I put doors on my Canteen, seperating it hard from my Kitchen-- BOOM, instant green coverage and jobs for my inmates. Thanks, OP!

Hi guys, i have a fairly decent prison now, but am having trouble getting my prisoners trained to work in the kitchen and workshop, i have both and assigned workers to them, i have also started a training program but cant seem to get my prisoners to learn the skills. What am i doing wrong please help, i have a objective to make 30 licence plates and just cant seem to make plates???? Please help!!.

Are your prisoners actually going to the classes? It takes about 2 days for the prisoners to finish the course and thats if they pass. Once they pass they should begin to work in the workshop... also make sure you have enough work scheduled in a row for the class to take place...I think its 3 or 4 hours.

Make sure the tables arnt full in workshop, minee were not work, so i sold some timber and now everything is fine

When they work alrdy in the workshop and u have alot of wood there, the first thing they do is cut all the wood.
Also they need place to put ther stuff they did.
So put alot of tables in ur workshop.
When all the wood is done, they will buy the metalsheets and produce the metal stuff.
After all is working, they work with wood AND plates - no idea why :D

Staff only start to cook food 2 hours before a scheduled "eat" time in the timetable

Prisoners likewise only start to cook 2 hours before the scheduled "eat" time.

I have the same problem. When at the job section, everything is white. I can't assign any prisoner to do anything at all, not even cleaning.
