teacher wont come

so i have been waiting for some days now but the teacher never comes, they have a session and there are people waiting but the teacher never comes and acually teaches.

Had this once. Clicked that "Reschedule" button and it seemed to do the trick.

Well, the teacher doesn't even have a texture yet, when the time came for the teacher to walk into the prison, all I saw was a shadow and when I moused over it, "Teacher" came up. And to that KoR guy, you can't hire them.

I think that might be a bug since in alpha 18 it is clearly shown the teachers texture in the video

Same here! Teacher stuck somewhere on door(-ways) and shakes around - f***ing pathfinding! So he never arrives the Classroom.

maybe moving your classroom more to the entrance of your prison could help. Also, he is not a staffmember, so he can only go trough normal doors by himself. The more doors he faces, the later he will arrive in class...

I had textures issues, trucks looked like trees... i deleted the game and installed again and fixed.

# Class requirements:
There are 2 types of classes and each one requires 3 hours in ROW.
They only teach durring "Work" regime.

Your regime needs 1xTHREE HOURS WORK IN A ROW and 2xONE CLASS ROOM.
OR
Your regime needs 2xTHREE HOURS WORK IN A ROW and 1xONE CLASS ROOM.

i traced the teacher, he make it once to the classroom. when School is over, the teacher leave the Prison thru the "entrance" (heading north). when he past the last Gate/Door he turn around to leave (go south). then he stuck on the first (normal or jail) Door.
Prison is about 700 Prisoners/Max and I have one Main and two (Staff Only) Entrances. Looks like Pathfinding goes thru the first shortest (this case the upper) Way and breaks.
I have to select him and give him a new destination then he runs south and leave the map.

- u need to have long enough work regime for the class
- you need to set up the program for the class
- your prisoners need to be interested in the class
- your prisoners need to be free to take part in that class (some may be in other programs instead)
- you rent no teacher as sbdy said, he comes automatically
- you need to have free guard that will escort the teacher to the classroom
- you need to have classroom that fits classroom needs (not necesarrilly 20 schooldesks though, that is just for the grant).
- you need to have no bug in this issue

Thank you for pointing this out in a clear and specific way to new playrs.

The first time when I try to host a program back in A27 (or A28?), I didn't think it's a bug but I do know it's something that I have missed. In the end, instead of asking in steam or in official forum, I went to watch those U-tube video... and WTF I wasted like one and 1/2 hours understand a simple mechanic with several ineffective and inefficient player made videos for an hour and finally understood with the one that the Dev made but with in-between jokes that doesn't serve any purposes for those 1/2 hour.

As of today, it's been like at least 5 posts about teachers and programs. I think you should make a new thread about this particular issue so new player would either stop blaming themselves for being stupid or blaming this game a bug.
