How to get interest in programs and workshop??

So I have a 75 person prison. I have a classroom and workshop yet no interest in anyone to try and learn to cook, work in a workshop or anything.. How do I do this?

First question: do you have a shop? Shops lower the participation rates in all programmes, and absolutely ruin the carpentry apprenticeship.

However, 75 prisoners isn't that many and you may just have a bunch of a-hole prisoners.

remove your shop?

Check your deployments (also the way to the rooms),

check your regime and schedula of program. the eductionprograms need a block of 3hours worktime.

Also gangmembers arent interested in reform programs.

No gang members, yes I have a shop and the ways to rooms are good, as well as the work time 3 hour blocks. I am talking before I even create the program, in the scheduling screen it shows like 0 interest in everything except the chapel, parole, and taser rollout (my gaurds) nothing else has interest.

Are your prisoners happy and well fed? low needs and high/hgh meals will increase intrest in all programs (except carpentry it's currently bugged if you have a shop)

Well fed, I think.. I have high variety and quantity just 2 meals a day.

I am not sure about happy.. only 2 say theyre treated well.

well, its not completely blocked, but interrest is such a small that de facto nobody has interrest at it. i would try to dezone your shop...

Best to look if your prisoners are happy, is to go to the needs Tab (Psychologist required)

I dezoned the shop and still no one has interest in joining workshop safety intro course or kitchen safety.

oh, another thing, if your prisoners are suppressed they also have no interest in your reform program. Prisoners get also suppressed if they are in the same room with an armed guard.

Does your workshop have a door, or is it open? Make sure it has one or it might not count as a work-room.

I fixed it by deleting the shop and attending more to the needs of my inmates.... now next up is how to sell the stuff that is produced?? I need an export room right?

Yes, you have to zone a certain area as export, you workmen will put the products there automatically and eventually load them on the supply trucks, in case they're empty.

Okay... so with the education program and the work education... what can I do to get these guys to pass?? I have had only 5 guys pass the education program and probably about 60 or so go through it..

Be sure thier needs are met, set programs right after eating to ensure they have a well fed bonus and arrive at class before it starts.
