Supermax cell
Hey there! I'm trying to design a cell for a supermax permanent lockdown prisoner, so that he does never needs to leave.
Here's what i got so far: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=487110711
But it doesn't seem to be working... should I put everything as a "Cell" room type instead of separated room types? wood doors are because of the requirements. The first 2 blocks are "Solitary" type.

Cheers!
Off topic: are all prisoners male? :O

Yes all prisoners are male, but not all staff.

As for the cell, yes if they're to be permanently locked down, put everything in their "cell" as they won't be leaving it to go to Yard or Solitary or Showers... even just a few tiles away. Just put it all as Cell (without the separating doors) and lock 'em down.

Be sure to zone it Supermax-only...

You are really putting a wood door? You can put a jail even a solitary. I think a solitary door won't change anything, what defines whether it's a cell or solitary is the room you decide it to be. I have seen in videos a solitary door in an armoury and everything was OK.

Though... The image shows a normal cell door :/

normal doors work fine, and don't require gaurds to open which accualy is useful if you want to limit the interaction between prisoners' and gaurds, also since they don't have to wait for it to be opened for them it decreases the liklyhood of them getting frustrated. The only real downside is you won't be able to contain them (lock down/bang up). If you do it right thoguh there's no issue. Here's my layout (s.Max would be on the upper right):

as to why it's not working correctly, this layout is not for a permenate lockdown prisoner, but one on a regular regime. You would have to code the whole area as 'cell' for them to make use of the entire thing on LD

You folks are hippies :P

My Super Max prisoners don't lead such a charmed life.

Spot the difference between my Max Sec cells and Super Max cells;

That's right, there isn't one :b1:

I only put volatiles, extremely volatiles and Legendary's into Super Max.

Do I have problems there?

Not really.

Meet Dan;

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=487162614

Granted Dan isn't volatile. He'd probably be OK in genpop.

So, let's look at some volatiles :perp:

Meet Ed;

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=483137968

That's a fairly old screenie, he has now been in my prison for 89 days.

In that time he has killed no-one.

Meet Andrew;

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=487162829

He's managed to kill 2 dogs.

How do I maintain order without pandering to their every whim you ask?

This is my Super Max deployment screen :guard:

If any of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cause trouble tasers and dogs put them down in moments :crossedblades:

That set up is for prisoner with volitile + any of the following trait: Gang member, instagator, or cop killer. Keeping them limited to smaller groups keeps them docile. This allows me to completly forgo armed gaurds and have them in improvement program, contributing to a single diget reform %.

The doors where requirements for the rooms as I said, and the real cell door is a solitary door which is the strongest.
But now i'm gonna remove those mid doors n walls to be all Cell type room and see...

Thx to all! :D
will post updates later

So, how do you get your supermax in the actual correct cells? I have specified "supermax" cells, but they end up being in the Shared cell sectors.

I really wish there was a designation like "everything BUT supermax"

It should look somthing like this:

The ubers seclusion solitry cells are designated S.Max, as prioners will be escorted to the best quality solitery cell they can access based on thier sec lvl. They have everything they need to never leave thier cell.

I am reading these threads and looking at the pictures, why would supermax need yards if they are confined 100% of the time? Dont they need to be designated as cell with solitary doors for the food port to feed them as they dont walk to the canteen?
lissa_981 Nov 15, 2015 @ 10:51am
In that layout? There are 2 distenct S. Max blocks. The right hand S. Max cells aren't solitery, they are what I call seclusion cells. They are in thier own little world away from gen pop. It's where I put my most inconvient prisoners so that any trouble they make will not leech into the rest of the prison. It's the set up I use for gang leaders and luets mostly. They are on a regular S. Max schedual, I don't bother w/ work time as they are all gang members They have a yard and canteen that is shared so that they only have to leave thier little kingdom to get books from the library or spend money in the shop.. The left-most s. Max block is the solitery block and they don't have a yard attached. They have everything they need to meet all thier needs except litericy (unless I use the working bookshelf mod-- which I do) and freedom.. sorry guys it's the cost of protection. I use them for fed witnesses or ?? prisoners untill thier rep is revealed. It is a great option intill you get some decent CI's to keep deaths to a minimum, especially if you are doing a Max Sec facility.

my supermax doors wont close. The doors are open I have it designated with the supermax. I am using Cell as room. I have the jail door as the door. Suggestions?
lissa_981 Nov 15, 2015 @ 3:46pm
Not sure, I usually either use regular doors or jail doors locked open.

cell doors are only locked, if your prisoners have lockdown or sleep
