Dezone the door, and then you can ask foreman to train your prisoners (if they are interested) in the programs tab in your reports.

Also, rezone your workshop. Don't include the walls - just the interior.
You also might want to dump the carpenter benches. It's going to be some time before you can make superior beds and you'll just hang on to any cut wood and not sell it if you have any carpenter tables anywhere in your prison (even dismantled in storage).
Did you rezone your workshop? If you don't report what you're tried, we're going to go in circles.
I tried removing the 1x1 area above the door, didnt work either.
