It does seem that if the shakedown extends over the midnight barrier, it won't work sometimes.
Some notes on shakedowns:
1 - Start the shakedowns right when your prisoners sleeptime starts. IF it does not finish before their wake up time (usually 8 hours of sleep is normal) then you need more guards (a good ratio is 2 guards for every 5 prisoners). Always stop the shakedown when everyone wakes up.
2 - you should have a metal detector at every doorway that prisoners go thru on a regular basis. This cuts down on metal objects significantly. Also have dog patrols at your delivery entrance to your site (finds contraband coming thru) and anywhere you have large concentrations of prisoners gathering (yard, canteen, etc..).

Do you know that other people can get help from posts like these? I don't understand why people think that we should check the date of a discussion and if it's older that you should than create a new post for the same type of discussion.
Because the game was in early development at that time and a lot of changes have happened since then. For this game, any 'problem' type post is too old if it is over a year ago.
1. do a shakedown
2. save and exit
3. load
4. ???
5. PROFIT
do you really think we need multiple threads for the exact same thing? it is probably better to keep everything related to this issue in here where it belongs and makes sense.
