I would love a 'no visitors allowed' deployment option
I am having such a hard time with visitation. No matter how I build it, the visitors never leave through the same door they entered. I have visitors walking through my entire prison to leave from a door located very far away near the storage/delivery area. My prisoners only have one door to arrive in visitation & I have one door from the outside to allow visitors. They enter fine, but then walk through the prisoner jail door & all around my prison to a door the farthest away. I even have the delivery/storage area where the door is set as 'staff only', but all my visitors just walk through instead of leaving from the nearest door in the visitation room.
I'd like to see some other visitation room ideas to get this to stop.

Visitors count as Staff.

they enter from the top of the map, and leave at the bottom.

most Staff have a Staff Key, and therefor will avoid Jail doors in favor of Staff Doors. Visitors however, like Teachers, Spiritual Leaders and Parole Officer and -Lawyer, have no Staff Key, and therefor will not prefere Staff Doors over Jail Doors, and will instead favor regular or Unlocked Doors over both Staff and Jail Doors.

They also tend to use the shortest way available in my prisons -and this way you can control them - There are always one or two who use strange paths(especially workmen), but most of my people take the way i intend them to take:
I use 5 "openings" in my outer wall (1- visitors in/2-Exports/3-GarbageDeliveries/4-Reception/5Visitor exit) -- The key is to place these openings in the right way in relation to the rooms those people want to enter -
The most important fact is that every group has the shortest way available for what job they currently do-wich means the way in is calculated different than the way out:
Start visitors-->north edge of map next to road -->visitation room End
Start visitation room -->south edge next to road End
Start food-->Deliveries-->Kitchen End --> maybe staffroom End
Start Garbage-->Kitchen -->Garbage area End
etc.

If I place the visitors entrance first and the visitation room is more north than the deliveries no visitor will use the deliverie zone for entry
The delivery zone has to have a small corridor leading south to prevent any returning visitors using it as exit - still the route has to be short enough to prevent cooks from using the visitor entrance/exit

It can be a real puzzle to build the right walkways since a lot of different paths intersect with each other -- but thats the reason its called prison "architect"- find solutions for the way you want it to happen

Thank you. I think I may have fixed it. I have the visitors go through the main jail door to an L shaped hallway that ends in a regular door now. Now they seem to go through that regular door & don't mind the jail door at the end. The visitors just seemed to hate having a jail door directly attached to the room. Just changing the door made it work correctly. I'd still like a 'no visitors allowed' option for deployment, but for now my visitation is fixed. Thanks again.
That was driving me crazy!
