Once they're listed as "Treated" they'll heal up eventually, but it takes a little while.
If I send a doctor into a canteen he'll just turn back around.
Even a burst pipe just reveals the game weaknesses: a huge flood everywhere, and your workers stroll around doing their little chores, like nothing happened. You can't prioritise jobs or clear the job queue, so by the time they acknowledge the problem your prison is a lake.
Better to keep events OFF, until the devs sort them out.
