Did you actually setup a patrol path or did you just station them in the area? Also can you please post a screenshot of your deployment screen?

Thats a patrol path. That should help you complete the objective.

The icons on the path need to be blue before a patrol will work. Have you got enough guards on your staff? Also I don't think that you have the pathway set in the right place. I need to see the entire map to be sure.

In my image (here: http://imgur.com/xjSvHJA) you can see the area where the patrol path needs to be set. You also need to ensure that you have enough guards on your staff to man the patrol area - You have 11 on your staff and they are all doing something at the moment which is why you can see the red 0/11 next to the picture of a guard in the top right of your screen. You need to hire more guards and the icons will turn blue automatically.
