Tutorial Problem: Start curing drug addictions/alcoholics

Ive just finished the 2nd campaign mission involving the mob boss and a drug-addicted prison and i have 2 more optional objectives to complete: start helping the alcoholics through recovery and start curing the inmates drug addictions. i have an AA meeting scheduled for 2 hours every day as well as a medical recovery thing for addictions for 2 hours too. even after 3 days of these programs going on, these 2 objectives simply will not register as complete. is there something im missing?

Do you have any "Work" hours in your regime?

You have to make sure that the programs are actually being completed at least once to complete the objective.

You can also build a second Infirmary that is more accessible to prisoners.

yes i have 3 total hours of work scheduled in the day and i KNOW the programs are being completed because i witness them going on. ill try to make a larger infirmary

yep that was the key. i doubled the size of the infirmary + commons room and i hired extra doctors and 1 extra psychologist. thanks for the tip! :)

For some reason my Drug program did not want to complete untill I put in a 2nd infirmery and schedualed classes in it. Not sure why.

Perhaps the game was going to designate the 1st infirmary as jsut infirmary, instead of being able to set it as a classroom.

I set it as a program prisoners went to it, and like 7 prisoners accualy passed the class. When it didn't complete after the 2nd round of prisoners started Rehab I decided to make a 2nd room. After moving all the classes there instead it completed as it should.

i think it has to do with how many ppl u have in the classes. for example, if you have like 27 ppl queuing up to join the class but u only have space for like 8 at a time, u wont get it. (thats what happened to me). but if you get like 20-30 chairs in a big commons room ull get it. same case for a big infirmary

Could be, not sure. The alchohal programs I ran was in a full sized (20 prisoner) room, and the infirmery I built was also full sized (accually 12 beds) I ran 2 alchol program and 3 drug programs.

I have a problem with the alcoholics therapy, everything is crossed out except "Create a meeting room with 8 chairs", I've built like a million chairs but it won't cross out.

Same Problem here, can't cross out "Create a meeting room with 8 chairs", any idea ?

Are you sure that the room is zoned as common room, and that it is accessable by the prisoners?

I had a problem with "8 chairs" too. Thing is if you already had some common rooms built, you can't build a new common room with chairs but you must put 8 chairs in the first common room you have built in this level. You probably already built some common room during previous task to satisfy prisoner's needs.

Good one Mroz, fixed my problem... i built a common room in the previous tutorial to fill the recreation needs.

Found out what the problem is. It needs to be zoned as a common room first before you put in the chairs. This worked on my second play through.

Hope this doesn't auto-bump the thread, but just for other people who find this years later like I just did: If you made a common room earlier (for the 'meet recreational needs' option), the chairs have to go in that one to count towards the to-do list item, even though the ceo says "you will have to make another common room".
