How to make your prisoners run?

Since the last update I just don't know how to make my prisoners run in the yard.
The yeard is secured, I removed every item and tried different types of floors to create the track field on the border of the yard area, but nothing. They won't enter the yard to run.

Any ideas? Is there a minimal size for the yard to allow them to run (more than the minimal 5x5)?

I haven't paid attention to that in the last two months, but from my previous experience I'd say they like having certain floor types (Concrete Tiles or Pathing Stone for instance) and a square-ish shape, that allows for running in circles.
That information may be outdated though.

It's pretty weird cause i checked on my old prisons, and prisoners are running in the yard.
But for this yard with the same dimension in this new prison, nobody is running... I don't get it.
I tried with or without the walls around, but it changes nothing.

They run circles in that thing on your other prisons? Typically if it's not large enough (not sure what a default size is) they won't run laps. Several prisons ago, I had two different yards, one was significantly bigger than the other and people ran in it. The smaller one, they just sat on benches or pumped iron.

I tried today, in my older prisons, prisoners are running even in 6x6 yard.
But perhaps you're right, it might be a matter of size. I'll try to build a bigger yard in my current prison and see what happens.
