death row question
Do death row prisoners stay in their cells all the time or do they require visitation, a canteen, and other such things? If they do stay in their cells, do I need to provide them with showers or anythign like that?

all you need is a cell parole room execution room

Death row prisoners don't leave their cells at all expect for visitations and parole. Make sure that the cell have objects to make sure that their needs are met (shower heads, weight bench, etc) since death row prisoners don't leave their cells to go to yards, common rooms, etc.

Do you have any mods? Also check the logistics tab on your prison.

They have automatic service. They dont need social. They just need lockdown, food, parol and execution room.

All they really need is a cell and execution chamber. They're on permanent lockdown, guards will deliver meals from a canteen. Guards will also escort them to a Parole Room for their DR appeal, or to Visitation if necessary. Just be sure you have one of your Parole Rooms set to a Death Row Appeal slot.

If you're in a generous mood, you can give them some amenities like weight benches or phones in their cell, but it's not necessary.

Well, even if the guards deliver the food to the deathrow cells, you have set up a valid route for your deathrow prisoners to your canteen, that the game will recognise it. so if you setup your canteen to minsec, the deathrow prisoners wont connect to it. also if you set a staff only airlock to the access of the deathrow cell block, the canteen wont connected. Also a common mistake is, that the route between cell block and cells goes over open area (not behind a wall or lockable door).

i mostly build a small canteen just for deathrowblock, so the guards havent travel to far, to deliver food (but instead the cooks have to ....). The inmates dont eat there, but the guards will pick up the food from that place.

Nope, they can get sent to solitary apparently. BTW, how do I stop them from going to solitary?

You designate some of your DR cells, in that separate multiple fenced off building where you house the DR inmates as Solitary. They get transported to an identical cell across the hall but it's technically "solitary" now.
