Any DLC that is worth it?
It also seems to be a lot of complaints about the game being broken and such.
Should I choose to play in one of the previous versions? like 2018 version?
Would DLCs still work in that version?

edit.
Oof seeing the yard "feature" is making me not want to play the game at all.
Is this still in the game or is there a mod that fixes this horrible idea?

Unfortunately there is no known fix for the 'Yard' issue. It appears to be a permanent 'feature'.

The only fix is to revert the game, no DLC works on the Introversion version since they gave content for free unlike Paradox.

Let’s be fair here, Paradox also gives free content. They just also give DLC with it.

Anyway, I play on the newest version and don’t really run into any of the bugs anyone else does, so I couldn’t say. Then again I tend to build small (see: under 250 or so inmates) prisons, so maybe that’s why.

It seems that the yard problem is an intended feature.
So you mentioning you don't run into any issues is a bit misleading.
By yard problem we're talking about the fact that yard is no longer mandatory.
Prisoners treat yard time as yard/freetime. Which, for inmate flow, completely breaks a major aspect of the game when you're trying to be very efficient while having a prison in the thousands of inmates.
I use Yard time as a staging area. Given that yard is placed usually near services(Shower, canteen, common room, workshops etc)
It allows a shift of medium sec prisoners to be in "staging" awaiting min sec prisoners to finish their shower as so not to overcrowd the showers and prevent fights.
If fights happen in the yard that's fine, its a much bigger area with more guards.
It also prevents prisoners from bumping into eachother when changing areas.
Usually I have "hallways" on the prison and those "hallways" never have 2 groups of prisoners going back and forth.

Honestly I just wish you could have more than 4-5 sec groups so I could split max sec into max sec 1 and max sec 2.

But yeah saying you don't run into any of the issues is doubtful given that it is by the devs own admission "intended".

Yeah, fair enough. I was considering it an intended feature (albeit one I'm not fond of) when I said I wasn't experiencing issues. I was thinking more in terms of bugs. Sorry for the misleading phrasing.

Although I did say "bugs" quite explicitly, I could've worded it more clearly.
