Use to really enjoy this game, haven't played in about 3 yrs. Some of the updates and changes being done I felt there was too many glitches broken features that change the feel of the game and broke it.

But from time to time wanted to go back to my first successful prison, to try and keep it going.

So is it worth trying to start up again, with an old save ?

make a backup copy of the save - you might ruin it.
if you go to the 2018 edition branch you should be fine

How do I do that? Plus how do I show a screen shot ? I wanna show my prison record and see if folks thinks it's okay? I started from a very simple prison to each time a lil by lil in-proved each prison until I got to this one. And I wanna to make it a large one but once I let gang members in and murders in it was a new difficulty to maintain security.

But the new things they added felt like they ruin the game. Plus at the new time things were broken that wasn't before.

you check the beta branches in properties to pick the 2018 version

The screenshot button by default is F12, after taking them use Steam and select the screenshot option under the "View" tab to upload them.

Riots are somewhat common and RNG based to it's luck whether or not I can breeze through the next 24 hours before the next series of mass deaths.

Yeah that looks like a wild one, I know this isn't a way a lot of people probably try to go. But I wanted to create one with strict discipline and reform. My gangs were separated the best I could. Min to Super Max separated. The more offences a prisoner wont make increase his level which had less time out and more security

Does the newer versions allow you to separate gangs by color ? I have 80 gang members of different gangs. right now they're in med to supermax. But I'd like to maybe have them sleep in there own cell blocks. Free time and meals they mix but lock down time should be one group. Earlier I ask about showing screen shots. I meant on here the discussions ?

why would you have them mix EVER.

to share a screenshot here, you need to make it public, then copy its link and paste it into the message. if you do it correctly, it should embed. compare links to images that work with the link you're getting, try to make them similar

Don't know how to separate them. If a prisoner is set to med, or Max. ect is the only way I know how to keep them apart. There is three main gangs, how do you create different assign cell blocks for the same security level prisoners ?

There's no options to separate gang members other than manually putting them all in solitary.

And prisoners can only be separated based on their security level and unfortunately there's no other options for separation.

If you want to share screenshots then set them on public or unlisted, it helps to use the link they come with to make them easier to open like I did with my example.

Yeah that's what I thought, I just feel like why have gang members there if you're going to have them in solitary all the time.
But with them like this it gets a little wild when they get rowdy.

If you have the Gangs DLC there is an option to segregate gang members by setting an area for them and ticking which gang(s) you want for that area - it's either in Deployment or Logistics
