mail problem

alot of my mail is left unsorted and i think its beacuse im not getting any satchels and therefor the mail is not being distributed. my prison has 721 inmates, 6 mailrooms with a total of 45 inmates working in them so i think they should work properly.
I try to find the problem and i've seen mail being brought in, sorted and then being left in piles which take up all of the room so i think my problem is with the satchels beacuse i cant find any. ironic how before they were flooding the place and now there's barely any. i have some satchels but not nearly enough

i fixed the satchel problem in a previous prison by going into the save file and fixing it but i made this prison after they fixed it so my change shouldnt have been carried over but how do i fix this?

Mail delievery is troublesome when there is more than one mail room. In update 4 there was something that looked at it but it is still unresolved in my first prison, so since then I only use one mail room. Since you have six mail rooms I would suggest keeping them but only having one active at a time. They are still an option but it feels good to know the mail is there and being delivered. Loads of unsorted mail is so bothersome.

the thing is i have that many mail rooms too prevent prisoners of different security levels to get mixed but i guess i can remove a few of them and build bigger instead. thanks for your help :)

dont let the prisoners work in them and the guards will do it and deliver it all.

i acctually tried that just now but it seems to be even slower. i have about 100 unoccupied guards but only 2-3 are sorting mail at the time and i have atleast 20 sorting deasks available. i could have 40 prisoners 6h/day but guards do seem to work faster so would be good if i could get them to man all desks all day

Matey you are absolutely right, I had 7 mail rooms with 500 prisoners removing the prisoners the guards went straight in and did the job. Adding one table for each sorting table is required to put the mail bags and the satchel onto I then reduced the mail room to just 2.....Thankyou!!!
