So Played the Nintendo Switch version.
Its weird that console exclusive DLC is a thing.

Not saying its better (Multiplayer is nice.) but still strange.

unless the Console versions are created from the ground up with an inc.mpatable engine, you'd think they would at least make it a buy option or something on the PC/

How is the switch version? I was debating getting it because of the console exclusive things.

It's been asked and answered a thousand times already, but I'll say it again: The console version of Prison Architect was created by a different company than the PC version. They are basically two separate games that share some of the code. Neither of the companies have any reason at all to just "copy" stuff from the other one's version. In fact, doing so might even lead to legal issues concerning copyright (although i admit that I'm not sure about that last point, not being a lawyer myself :P).

Yeah, but if its based on the same foundation. I mean if the work is more or less done, and the code is similar, it would not really cost both companies much...

Assuming an agreement is made over splitting the profits, a DLC with said content would probably be worth paying.

as for the other question, Its good, I prefer the PC version for the controls though. if you dont mind clunky console controls and no mods, It is a more fleshed out game.

No such agreement was made, that's the problem. Both companies do their own thing with the game, both content- and marketing-wise.

Well, as we all know, Introversion has now even sold the game to Paradox, so I wouldn't be surprised if Paradox decided to do smthg crazy, like buying double eleven and doing the console thing themselves or something...

Then again, it might not change anything at all. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
