Radiator heating up to 26 Celsius
Hello, I was playing for some time now. It's day 30 and I saw a problem in my prison. A few days ago, the outdoor weather was very hot (26 celsius) and the temperature didn't drop until it resets at 0 AM (back to 12 celsius.) Which of course, heated up my prison. But a problem occurs when indoor temperature won't drop back to 20-21 celsius (normal radiator temperature). This problem only occur on old radiators. New radiators are functioning normally. But I don't want to rebuild it all as I got so many radiators in my prison. Anyone knows how to fix this without having to rebuild it all?

How hard could it be to dismantle and replace a radiator? It takes two clicks per Rad.

Does it cause problems with inmates? Just curious, because 25 deg C is considered room temperature...like 77 deg F, so especially outside that isn't hot, though 26 would be toasty indoors I guess.

I have 224 radiators all over my prison, it would take ages.

I don't know, but my prisoners are overheated at 25-26 celsius xD.

It's not really a fix, just a band-aid, but have you considered putting valves on the radiator feed-pipes, so that you can shut them off when it gets too warm?

Of course, if you don't want to put in the effort replacing your radiators, you're not really going to want to have to screw around with valves either.

Thanks a lot :) I will try to do it.

I discovered that if the outdoor temp goes higher than 20 celsius, the indoor will be too. But when the outdoor temperature falls, the indoor won't (it will, but very slowly which could take many days).I had 32 celsius today xD and my prisoners are going crazy

I think I might of found one reason for this don't connect a boiler with a large water pipe use a small pipe. It seems fine if you connect the boiler to the water pump.

Ok, thanks. I've figured it out, I tried to turn off water at night, when my prisoners are sleeping (I don't have separate pipe for hot water, as all my pipes in my prison are connected). And the temperature dropped like crazy xD

A neat idea for the devs to add would be some kind of thermostat system and an automatic control for the valves. Might help to mitigate this sort of problem, while allowing them to make some new controllers (the wiring system was one of the things that attracted me to this game, but it's wound up being underutilized).

Or a cooker/vent extractor fan.
