Remove all lights from prison?
I let the Auto Light thing do it's work when initially making my prison, but now I've decided I don't like the result. I've put quite a bit of work into it and don't really want to start over, is there an automated way to remove the lights without remaking the prison from scratch?

I doubt there's some hidden "remove all lights" button i'm missing, but maybe deleting entries out of a save file?

Go to the Item menu
Hit that curiously named button in the very bottom of the menu that might or might not have something to do with removing items.
Click all the lights.

If nothing is in the way you can simply drag a big box over all lights and be done with it in seconds.

There's an entire, active prison in the way.
Go figure~
Then you have to click every light individually and deal with it.

If I open the save file, I see a lot of lines that look like
BEGIN "" Id.i 6561 Id.u 12081805 Type Light SubType 0 Pos.x 120.5000 Pos.y 150.5000 Powered true On true END[/quote]

These look like the map coordinates that each individual light is placed. A lot of these are followed by prisoner information though, so I'm not sure. I figured that if I could figure out the exact format for how light placement is saved though, I could automate them being deleted. I wasn't sure if that was even safe to do though. This is what I was thinking when I specifically asked about deleting entries in the save file, is this not possible?
You definitely can edit the safe file to do that.
I didn't suggest it because I never used that method, nor do I know about the lights specifically, not my field of expertise.
How about you make a backup copy, simply delete all the light-lines and see if it breaks?

Should be easily achievable with a mod. Give me a few minutes.

There you go. It shows up at thee end of the Objects menu. Just build it and it'll get rid of all lights, then self-destruct.
You can disable/delete the mod after without any side effects.

Seems to work well, thanks.

I was having the same problem, I figured out you can dismantle items in bulk and then the construction team will take care of the rest.
