not that i know of, be sure ALL your sec lvl (even the ones you don't have currently if you have split your roiuteen) are set to 1 meal (can be 2 hours) only.

There's no bug with this grant. When you start the program, if you've done it correctly, the % meter on your to-do list should increase every hour. As lissa said, schedule a single 2-hour meal block for all your security levels, and set the quality to low in your Policies tab.

You don't need to do it consecutively either. It's best to do this grant with about 30 prisoners (don't recall what the minimun is). If they start getting irate, you can go back to regular meals for a day before resuming the grant research, you won't lose the progress you've made.

ahh thanks it was the meal blocks that were screwing me up

accually there is a second way to do it that will work even in a large max sec prison. Frist be sure you have a shop set and functioning with 3 sec lvls so that someone is always working the shop. Next change 2 of your 3 (or however many you have -1) meal blocks to free time. Prisoners will head to the shop to buy thier food if they are able. Alternitivly you can 'cheat' the grant by changing the valid meal time right after it finishes to the next one in line. It's a bit of a pain cause you don't want to miss changing it over, but it works fine. Given prisoners aren't as hapy about eating low quality meals, but as long as they get 3 it's ok, and if your shop is working you may not notice much difference.

make sure for part of it your variety is set to low and not none

You don't need to do it for all security levels; Normal is enough. You can even do it like that in minsec or maxsec only prisons. The game doesn't really care if there's noone actually eating like that as long as your regime says so.

You guys are over complicating it, set both to low and only one meal block for 2 hrs boom done, i just didnt know the meal block had to be only one and for 2 hrs, ironically I didn't have any rioting til I completed it and switched back lol

Let's keep overcomplicating it: It works with a single regime slot as well. d:
This game seriously needs some documentation; a lot of seemingly simple things end up in hours upon hours of trial an error just to figure out a tiny detail. >_>

Yeah, I know there is some information out there now, but that information is the result of hours of trial and error by tons of players, and it's often incomplete.

What I meant is official documentation by the developers. Figuring out a basic mechanic here shouldn't be comparable to finding an easter egg in an open world game. >_>

I got ya.

Though I can't remember a game I've played in the past 5 years that had any documentation. Mostly just tutorials. I dunno if PA has those cause I've been on board since the start.

I think what No means is like how it tells you the requirements to complete the grant, it should state that you need one 2 hr eating block

I mean having a page on their website where they clarify a few thing. There's no need to write an essay on the game, just simple stuff like "your laundry guys won't work if they don't have access to deliveries", or "if a canteen doesn't have food trays, you can simply sell a stack from a different one and new ones will arrive and be distributed properly".

Little details that can save the player hours of unnecessary testing just to get a simple thing (such as the laundry room or a canteen) to run properly.
