Scheduling Programs for different security level prisoners?
Problem: Can't schedule a single class for normal sec without completely booking min-sec classroom time slots.

Explanation: Currently, I have a basic prison with minimum and normal sec prisoners in two different areas. Each area has a classroom which is functional and works. In my clipboard under the programs tab, lets use group therapy for example, I want to be able to click the "start" button for group therapy and have one scheduled in min-sec and then click the start button again to have one class scheduled for normal sec. For some reason, the only way I can figure out how to get a class scheduled at all for my normal sec guys, is to book up every single possible time-slot for the first classroom (min-sec) and then when attempting to add another class time, it will overflow into the other classroom and begin scheduling there (normal-sec).
For the prisoner regime, I am able to add an extra column in which I can set a different series of activities for any security level, but the program scheduler seems to be lacking this option. Is there any way around this, or do I simply have to only have enough work/free-time on the schedule for the exact amount of classes I wish to hold?
I have 3 different work/free-time slots, 2 three-hour and 1 two-hour, for my min-sec so to fill that up with classes is nearly 6 classes before I get one scheduled for normal sec. I am afraid to advance to any other security level prisoners because I would have to book every time slot for every classroom in the prison before I could even get to the max or super-max guys. Sorry for rambling, I have been dealing with this for a while and am stressed out because it is sort of ruining an amazing game for me.

Side question: Do classes that are empty still begin and charge me if they are on the schedule, or does the time just pass over it? I have been adding 10 classes or so to get to the normal sec ones, but I delete them after I get a normal sec class scheduled. It works for a while but at the end of the day, the normal sec class gets relocated to the empty min-sec classroom time slot.

Programs > Edit Shedule.

The edit shedule UI is rather awful but it does work quite well. Look for the room you want, right click the time slot and select the program you'd like to run.

Yes, empty classes will still run as normal and you will stil be charged.

This worked for me, but doesnt seem like the right way to fix the problem, even though it was the way the devs chose to do so. I feel like a chart for each security level would be alot easier. But then again, perhaps people have mixed security for classes and things. Oh well.

One last question, is there a way to see which security the queue'd prisoners are for a class? or do I just have to add another scheduled time for each until one fills?

I think I get what you want to achieve, but as far as I can tell, there is no way to assign a type of prisonner(normal or min sec), to a certain classroom in particular. It's a bit annoying as some prisonners may decide to go to the opposite side of the map to go to class, instead of favoring the one closer to them. The only way to manage to do something ressembling to what you want would be by messing up with the schedule in such a way there is no way for prisonners of one type of security to go to class while the other is going to the education program scheduled in their nearby classroom.

The schedualer works very well after you get the hang of it, it is a little awkward at first though. If you set the rooms to a specific sec lvl then the 'valid' class times will be in dark green in the schedualer. This is the sinpelist way to achiesve what you are trying to do,

shared rooms will have light green blocks durring work time, and white when there is no work time of prisoners that have acccess,.
Be sure ans lock in your programs so they don't get shifted by the stupid AI after you have them where you want them.
