I don't know why some objects won't rotate. It's not the end of the world, but it's annoying.
To the not rotating laundry machine:
The game has 3 sprites for lsundry machine: a) the machine itself b) 1 for empty machine and 1 for washing. So the devs were to lazy to write the code for different rotation.
Not quite correct. There is one sprite for the machine itself, and 3 for the door: empty open, empty closed, filled closed; and the filled one animates. It's not spinning around fast all the time, but doing the delicate woolwash program with intervals. If you watch the machine for a while you'll see it.
I have noticed the sprites will stretch for various objects that workers carry (such as beds if you are installing a bunch at a time).
As for rotating the laundry machines.. I think atm its actually a good thing you can't rotate them. I mean, how in the heck would you be able to tell if they are full or empty? Open door perhaps? I think Workshop items not being rotatable is a far larger problem.
