Door Timer Issue
Can someone please explain how the door timer works? I link it from the door timer, to the door servo -- i make sure it says 'open' during the time of day I want (which is the current time of day), and the doors remain closed. What am I doing wrong? This is the door timer, not the other door switch.

{LINK REMOVED}

lines connect FROM door timer TO door servo
everything is powered
time of day = current time, set to open
doors are closed
can not get them to open unless manually set them open

Are the Servos powered? (They need a direct powerline connection)
Are you trying to automate cell doors? If so, there's no need.

I need to automate it because I want the prisoners to remain in their cell longer than what is allowed; social experimentation lol. The servos are powered -- they have green in their little circle thing.

It looks like your servos are backwards. I'm not certain it matters, but the square bit with the light should be on the wall and the circle bit should be on the door. I think that the servo has to be placed like that, but it doesn't matter which direction the door opens.

maybe to many door for one timer. and the connect are directional, so make sure you conect from timer to door servos.
I did connect the door timer to servo. In utility mode, I clicked on the door timer in the security room, and then the servo.

Check a few things:
- The connections are one-way so the need to go from the timer to the servo
- The schedule on the right overwrites but doesn't discard the left schedule. Currently your doors are open between 9am and 12am regardless of the regime and outside of those hours they listen to the list on the right, you should put those on the closed.

I don't think you can use door timers on cell blocks because they are already on timers, and they probably force the doors open regardless.

Also, it might also be stopping you from doing this in-case you unintentionally lock out a prisoner from his Cell.

That and I think Greatak, it loooks like your servos are the wrong way round. The cog bit goes over the door.

It was the positioning of the servo. The 'wheel' or crank portion needs to be on the door, and the box needs to be in a wall or not on the door. I had it wrong. Thanks!
