I placed water, how can I remove it?

I placed water from inside the materials menu by accident, now I can't remove it?

in the water menu their should be a 'remove' action to remove mistakes like removing pipes.

You can't remove water, unless you are using a map editor mod.

In the material menu, where you found the water (same place as fence and walls), use the dirt material over the water and presto! Water hole is now filled with dirt.
