Armed guards and danger level
Hello everyone.

A few months ago I searched everywhere (and even asked here) for a way to remove the danger level increase by armed guards.
Now some updates after, and especially v2.0, does anyone found out a way to do that? Without the tools and cheats enabled though...

not possible, but in fact you dont need much armed guards. They arent worth the money. a few normal with tazers do the job as good as one armed guard.

I'm aware, I just like to have a ton of armed guards patrolling super max wing. Looks better for me.

I read somewhere the "maximum" before they become too much for danger level is around 7/8, anyone can confirm?

sadly armed guard and suppression/punishment is very weak.

I have to disable all punishments, because of gangs. If the gangleader is punished, the danger level rises. even my min sec doing problems.

i have the same problem with armed guards. and it looks like the game doesnt care if you got 40 prisoners or 400. For example 10 armed guard will always do the same pressure on danger level. If you want remove that, i think the only way is a mod.

But, the pacifier warden also helps. I think he can neutralize like 15 armed guard. (of course the dangerlevel, he is not fighting them.)

since almost every need filled, they never complain.

And something to the danger level:

you can still have 15 armed guard and a low danger level. But its more difficult.
the reason why your dangerlevel is so high is another (unfilled needs or fights.)

in one of my save games i got 15 and its danger level is low.

danger level has more factores than armored guards.

I think Jason meant that more than 7 guards will not increase danger lvl further?

And an important point: I'm not complaining about my danger level, it's non existent in a 700 prisioner prison (6 armed guards), I just wanted the option to simply prevent the danger lvl of ever increasing due to armed guards (I can't find a mod for that, as it appears there's no way to mod it).

ok 7 guards to max. thx thats sound easy to handle. i will test it.

You only need a few armed guards, even in an enormous facility. Tasers are a much better option than shotguns.

Shotgun-equipped guards have very niche uses. Having them all over the place is a terrible idea for a whole bunch of reasons.

But you can use armed guard for temp suppression. for 8 pm to 12 am my prisoners got suppression, which is good for my prison grading. after 12am work started and so on.

Armed guards for suppression? I'm using an OBEY utility for that. Suppresses everybody in the evening and they will stay that way until the next morning. No armed guards needed.

Again people, I'm aware that tazers are much better etc etc etc. But forget gameplay reasons for using armed guards. I just like having them patrolling there. Not because they are better, but because I like it
