Solitary Cells Broken?
I have a bunch of solitary cells, and they are designated as solitary and are enclosed. But for some reason my guards (I have plenty, kept hiring more and still not working) are not taking any prisoners to solitary. At this point all of my solitary cells are empty and every single prisoner I own is handcuffed awaiting solitary. I've played the game for years and I've done what I've always done before but it isn't working. Does anybody know how to fix this?

You're certain that the solitaries are deployed correctly? Not staff-only, and if they aren't shared they match the security level of the prisoners awaiting?

having the same problem with some of my inmates. all cells are set to shared. and I'm using the quick build solitary cell. Also holding cell not used at all. i have a bunch of inmates in reception just waiting to be taken to cells that are in fact available. They have been in reception for days. One of my quick build solitary cells has 3 people in it.

It's a new prison I haven't changed anything in regards to deployment yet.

I found the solution. Some prisoners had turned into Criminally Insane prisoners, and required padded solitary cells. There were none available, but they were at the front of the queue for solitary which blocked the normal prisoners from being sent there. I made some padded solitary to get through them which fixed it.

I would restart that ENTIRE prison because those CI prisoners are like a cancer, you get one eventually you'll get your entire prison being turned into CI prisoners

I had the same problem of prisoners not being taken to solitary. I don't have psych ward installed so that wasn't the problem, either. It started happening when I tried to set my deployment of each solitary wing to min sec only, med sec only, etc. I had to change them all back to shared before the guards would move the prisoners to solitary.
