Infinite Money Exploit

Hey all,

So Youtuber Nerdcubed is doing a Let's Play series and stumbled across an exploit that essentially gives infinite money by alternately buying and selling loans and shares.

Essentially, when buy a bank loan, it increases your cash reserves, but doesn't affect your prison value since the loan offsets the increase in cash. Since the value per share is calculated by your prison value and cash reserves, you can gain infinite money by selling all of your shares without any bank loan whatsoever, then maxing out your bank loan, then buying your shares back at a smaller price, then using the extra money to pay off your bank loan.

Looks like we need a patch!

Of course, you have to build your prison up enough to research loans and shares in the first place.

Is accumulating money really a problem for you? Making money is ridiculously easy in this game. Not to mention the fact you can choose Unlimited Funds when you start.

What he discovered isn't new, but all you're doing is cheating yourself.

This game is not a competition, you're supposed to challenge yourself. If you don't want to, your choice. There are mods, file editing, and plenty of in-game ways to get money.
First and foremost, there is an unlimited-funding option in the game, so I don't understand why anybody would make a fuss about a money exploit at all.

You could also simply edit the save game to give you as much money as you want, works much faster than this method. As others already said, it's up to you to cheat or not. No patch needed.
