island bound is just a collection of mods from the workshop that were free now bundled with a price tag (and so is going green)
If Paradox would release that much content in an expansion, you'd pay at least $200.
1. The asylum "works", but is highly unbalanced. You get more per prisoner than max sec, but they never act out if you fulfill most of their needs OR give them access to a psychiatrist. Since they can't work, never act out, etc, it gets boring very quick.
2. Islandbound is broken, and most of the stuff included you'll never use. The alternative intake systems don't work. The contraband scanner is slow and less effective than a dog and metal detector. Checkpoints skyrocket heat. And for the islands... the water acts like land you can't build on. You'll still get a ton of thrown contraband, and prisoners can just swim away. Plus pathfinding between multiple islands is broken. Folks will never get to where they need to go.
Both DLCs are overpriced, and you'll never use them. Support Murgh's free content, that Paradox keeps stealing.
