[SOLVED] I can't move prisoners from one cell to another.

I'm really pissed off now. I can't move prisoners from one cell to another. It's simply anoying. I'm gonna stop playing. No way. It's frustrating.

1 - When manually ending a punishment of a prisoner who was in solitary and putting him to be punished to be locked in the cell, the guard simply takes him back to solitary and then returns to the cell. In other words, what is the need for the guard to retrace the path of solitary confinement instead of leaving the prisoner in the cell where he was assigned? ^

2 - When trying to move a prisoner from one cell to another, the guard takes him to the new cell and removes him again from the cell that was MANUALLY assigned to.

I've even sold my prison, saved my game and quit. I'm really sad. I was willing to take this game seriously. I'd try to get to +1000 prisoners, but it's really unplayable and frustrating. This is only one of the bugs I've found so far. I've noted down others.

what's your Policy and situation? are the prisoners "deserving" of the cells you try to put them in?

Yes, I've made a specific cellblock for "SuperMax" prisoners, and that's the only cellblock for these types of prisoners. However, I don't fu*@$# understand why this stupid guard keeps removing him. I'm really pissed off. I'm not going to back to this game for a while at least.

your best shot would be to not have ANY shared cellblocks if you want your prisoners in specific places

I know, but it doesn't make sense if I want to remove a prisoner from a shared cellblock to a specific cellblock made for his own kind of prisoner.

if the game in its eternal wisdom decided that the cel in shared just fits them better then that's what it will do.
also try dezoning that specific cell for a while and see what the game will do

I already surrendered. This is not the first time it happens. And yes, "eternal wisdom" of bug. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Omg, this is so sad. I'm addicted to this game, but it simply is not working properly. I can't express on how frustrating this is :'(

you can try the 2018 version... it definitely has less blatant bugs (it's not perfect obviously)

How is it possible to play it?

you pick it through the beta branch and wait for the reinstall. this is the game as it was before Peedix started "fixing" it so there's definitely less clutter and AI are less prone to just getting plainly stuck. maybe it will be less frustrating

If a guard keeps moving prisoners to other cells, you likely have transfers on. Guards automatically move prisoners now to different classifications of cells. And when they said 'deserving' a cell, they did not mean security levels. Each cell is rated and inmates can be moved to it as a reward or punishment if its much different from their current cell.
